There is a different booklet for each level. Each booklet contains a title page with helpful words, followed by four pages of pictures with short written extracts to read and 2-3 questions per page. The story is a romance and comedy and covers the themes of love, mistaken identities and magic. The story has been adapted so that is is suitable for ages 7-9. There are three differentiated booklets. The higher booklet has three pages of text for the children to read before they complete a range of questions based on a mixture of the KS1 and KS2 SATs. The middle and lower ability booklets have the text split into separate pages with questions on each page. This resource is a set of 5 painting lessons based around the theme of the sea, oceans and water, suitable for Lower Key Stage 2. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades and using shapes and patterns to change the atmosphere of a painting. There are 4 different artists used as inspiration. The children have the opportunity to work alone to practise the key skills and as part of a large group for a collaborative project. The final lesson allows children to collate all their experience and ideas to create an original seascape on their own. The 13 page pdf lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out the cupboards. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my classes. I have included the simple 8 slide PowerPoint I used for the series of lessons, which contains examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based. There is also a template for Lesson 3. This resource is a set of 3 art lessons based around the theme of harvest for Key Stage 1. Children create three pictures based on Van Gogh’s series of wheatfield paintings. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint, pastel and pencil and experimenting with shapes and patterns. The lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my class. I have included the PowerPoints I used for the series of lessons, which contains information about the artist, examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based and information about how bread is made. Also included are templates for the children to use. This is a set of three lesson plans and resources to teach children about the Jewish holiday of Passover. It is suitable for ages 7 - 11. There is also a 41 slide PowerPoint presentation to accompany the lessons which includes a topic introduction, the Passover story and details of how Jewish people celebrate Passover today. Lesson 1 teaches children about the story of Passover and includes a drama activity and a literacy task.
